Breaking news: A corporate executive discussed AI, which means we're basically one PowerPoint slide away from solving every human problem! 'Personal superintelligence' is clearly corporate-speak for 'we have some machine learning models that can maybe recommend marginally better content'. Apparently, developers in India are creating such revolutionary solutions that we're contractually obligated to be EXTREMELY EXCITED about unspecified achievements.

REALITY CHECK

Most technological 'societal challenges' get solved through incremental engineering, not grand proclamations. Actual development involves solving specific, bounded problems with measurable outcomes. The distance between 'using AI' and 'solving major challenges' is roughly the length of several academic papers and real-world implementation cycles.
